Leamington Spa Library and Information Centre in Warwickshire is welcoming residents into its heated spaces this winter to help with rising energy costs and social isolation. The library, located in the historic Royal Pump Rooms, is part of the county’s Warm Welcome programme, which is scheduled to run through until 31 March 2026.

Visitors can enjoy free hot drinks, use the free Wi‑Fi and take advantage of device‑charging points as part of the Warm Welcome offer. The Leamington Spa Library and Information Centre is also hosting community activities such as “Book Bingo”, winter craft sessions and family “Stay and Play” events.

The initiative is supported by Warwickshire County Council and forms part of the authority’s wider approach to protect frontline library services and provide cost‑of‑living support for residents during the colder months. The priority for community‑based support was set by the new council administration formed after the May 2025 local elections.

The scheme also links with the National Year of Reading 2026, which encourages people to use their local libraries as social hubs. Library staff are on site to offer Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) for people who may need extra help with financial or social issues.

Residents are encouraged to visit during normal opening hours to use the heated, safe and friendly spaces. For full details and opening times see the Leamington Spa Library & Information Centre page on Warwickshire County Council’s website.
