Students who have studied with the Eastern Education Group (EEG) — including those based in Haverhill — can be eligible for up to £1,000 off their first year of degree tuition under a new progression offer effective February 2026. The Eastern Education Group says the scheme is intended to make it easier for local people to continue their education without having to relocate.

To qualify for the discount, applicants must be current students progressing from a full‑time Level 3 Further Education course or an Access to Higher Education programme within the Eastern Education Group, or alumni who completed a course with the Group within the last three years. Certain routes (for example, higher/degree apprenticeships) are excluded under the offer’s terms.

The £1,000 reduction applies to the first year of full‑time degree courses delivered through University Studies at West Suffolk College. A fixed £500 discount is available for the first year of Higher National or higher technical qualifications (for example, HNC, HND or HTQ). The degrees delivered via University Studies at West Suffolk College are validated/awarded by the University of East Anglia (UEA), allowing students to study for UEA‑awarded qualifications while staying local.

The progression scheme is administered by Eastern Education Group and supported locally from the Personal and Professional Learning Centre at Provincial House on Haverhill High Street. That Haverhill centre provides local access, advice and some Access to HE provision, while the University Centre and degree teaching are based at the University Studies/University Centre campus in Bury St Edmunds.
