Families in Carlton and Arnold can watch a special screening of the Wallace & Gromit short The Wrong Trousers with a live brass band at the Bonington Theatre in Arnold on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The Nottinghamshire event will feature the film’s music performed live and synchronized with the action on the big screen.

The Unite Brass Band will provide the music for two performances at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Tickets are listed at £12.50 and can be booked via the Bonington Theatre box office/website.

The screening falls within Aardman Animations’ 50th-anniversary year (the studio was founded in 1976). The Wrong Trousers (1993) is one of Aardman’s best-known shorts and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.

Gedling Borough Council and the Bonington Theatre describe the event as a family-friendly, live-to-picture experience that pairs traditional British brass music with the well-loved story of Wallace and his dog Gromit.
