The Wolverhampton Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, has confirmed its headline show for the 2026 Christmas season will be an all-new production of Treasure Island. Running from November 28, 2026, to January 3, 2027, the performance marks a first for the venue as it has never staged this pirate adventure as its main festive pantomime before.

The production will star fan favourites Tam Ryan and Ian Adams, who also write the scripts for the theatre’s annual shows. This year is particularly special for Adams, as it marks his tenth anniversary performing on the stage at the Grand Theatre.

According to reports from BBC News, the theatre has moved towards producing its own shows in-house rather than hiring outside companies. Creative Director Tim Colegate told the Express & Star that the new production will feature parrots and pirates while using local talent and technical crews.

Tickets are already available to the public, and more than 15,500 have been sold nearly a year before opening night. Local news outlet What’s On Live noted that the early sales help support the city’s economy by drawing thousands of visitors to the city centre during the winter months.
