The New Theatre Peterborough in Cambridgeshire has confirmed its full 2026 lineup, featuring several well-known musicals and plays that often appear in London. According to the venue’s latest schedule, the theatre on Broadway will host major professional tours throughout the year.

The 2026 season includes the musical The Choir Of Man from 14–18 April 2026, and the ghost story The Woman in Black from 24–28 March 2026. A new stage production of The Silence of the Lambs is also scheduled to run from 27–31 October 2026.

Landmark Theatres, which manages the venue, says the goal is to give residents high-quality professional shows close to home. This allows people to see popular performances without the extra costs of travelling to larger cities such as London or Milton Keynes.

The venue is funded as a National Portfolio Organisation by Arts Council England, which helps bring touring work to the city. That support, together with the Dawe Charitable Trust’s intervention and subsequent management changes, followed several years in which the building experienced financial difficulty under previous operators.

The theatre, which seats 1,079 according to the venue’s visitor information, will also host shorter events such as tribute bands and comedy drag shows. These performances are part of a wider plan to help the evening economy in the city centre thrive.
