The MK Marathon Weekend will return to Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, on May 3–4, 2026, with the full marathon and half marathon finishing inside Stadium MK. The weekend is expected to draw more than 10,000 runners and thousands of spectators, and features events for all abilities — from the full marathon to family-friendly fun runs.

Runners in the full and half marathons will complete a victory lap of the pitch at Stadium MK to finish their races. The May 4 races fall on Star Wars Day; organisers have revealed Star Wars–inspired, space-themed medals for several races to mark the occasion.

The weekend includes several different races, such as the Rocket 5K on Sunday, May 3, and the Superhero Fun Run on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4. Much of the course uses the city’s network of Redways and passes scenic spots including Willen Lake, the Open University and Caldecotte Lake.

Organised by Runners Base Limited in partnership with Stadium MK and Milton Keynes City Council, the event is expected to raise funds for local charities — including Harry’s Rainbow and Action4Youth (which support children and young people) and local animal-welfare groups such as RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks. The marathon is AIMS-certified and BARR Gold-accredited and serves as a qualifying race for events including the London and Boston Marathons and the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Championships; organisers say the weekend also aims to encourage local residents to stay active.
