Football supporters are preparing to unveil a large fan-funded tifo banner at AFC Bournemouth’s Premier League match with Aston Villa at the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth on Saturday, 7 February 2026. The display is being organised by the Cherries Trust (the club’s independent supporters’ trust) and will cover a substantial section of the North Stand (Steve Fletcher Stand) immediately before kick-off.
The display will span blocks 10–15 of the Steve Fletcher Stand. Volunteers will be positioned at the front of the stand to move the large overhead fabric over the crowd as the teams emerge from the tunnel. Supporters seated in those blocks have been asked to remain in their seats and help pass the banner over their heads toward the back of the stand.
The project was funded via a supporter fundraiser facilitated by the Cherries Trust, first reported by the Bournemouth Echo. The Trust says the display is intended to show the collective identity of the supporters. Back of the Net (afcbpodcast.com) reported that the Cherries Trust unveiled new branding following a Board decision in January 2023, which the Trust said reflects improvements to its governance and efforts to better represent modern supporters.
Organisers say they have worked with AFC Bournemouth’s safety staff and stewards to ensure the banner meets safety requirements and does not impede emergency exits. Fans with tickets in the designated blocks are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the 15:00 kick-off to receive instructions from volunteers. The Trust and organisers hope the visual display will enhance the matchday atmosphere for the home crowd.
