The Borough of Broxbourne Council is hosting a free online workshop for employees in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, on Wednesday 25 February 2026. The session aims to help local workers spot the signs of burnout and manage day-to-day stress or anxiety. It forms part of the council’s wider effort to support the health and wellbeing of people living and working in the borough, consistent with the Council’s 2025–2029 Corporate Plan.

The event is being delivered by Calmer, a mental health training organisation founded by Tania Diggory. Tania Diggory, Calmer’s founder, will lead the session and share practical ways to stay well at work. The partnership between the council and Calmer has already provided CPD-accredited training for managers and is now expanding to workshops open to all employees.

The workshop comes as recent HSE workplace health and safety statistics show that mental health conditions remain the primary driver of work-related ill health: in 2024/25 the Health and Safety Executive reported 964,000 workers experienced stress, depression or anxiety caused or made worse by work, contributing to an estimated 40.1 million working days lost. By offering this free support, local leaders hope to help residents manage workplace pressure before it becomes a larger problem.

Residents and staff can register for the workshop through Eventbrite. Places are limited to keep the session interactive, so officials recommend signing up early to secure a spot.
