Hinckley AFC secured their first league point of the year on 8 February 2026 after a hard-fought 2-2 draw away at Histon at Bridge Road (the Glassworld Stadium) in Impington, Cambridgeshire.

The match was played at Bridge Road, where the visitors had to come from behind twice to level the score. A club representative said after the game that the result showed the character of the players following a difficult month of results.

The team currently competes in the United Counties League Premier Division South. While the draw does not move them much higher in the standings, it helps stabilise their position after they slid towards the bottom third of the table during January.

Histon is a historic club that previously played in higher tiers of English non-league football; pre-match coverage had them tipped as favourites. Taking a point away from home against such an experienced opponent is seen as a positive step for the Hinckley side.

According to club records and non-league databases, Hinckley AFC is a community-owned club established in January 2014 following the liquidation of Hinckley United. Supporters are now looking forward to a busy spring schedule as the team tries to build on this improved defensive performance.
