West Northamptonshire Council has appointed Sports & Leisure Management Ltd (SLM), trading as Everyone Active, on a 10‑year contract to operate council-owned leisure centres in Northampton and Daventry from 1 April 2026 (the contract runs until March 2036). Everyone Active will take over Danes Camp Leisure Centre, Lings Forum and the Grade II‑listed Art Deco Mounts Baths in Northampton, alongside Daventry Leisure Centre, Daventry Sports Park and Moulton Leisure Centre.

The council says the move to a single operator is intended to unlock investment, modernise ageing buildings and deliver better value for residents. Work is under way in a mobilisation period covering staffing, systems, programming and customer experience, and the council and Everyone Active say members and users will be given further updates over the coming months.

Local residents may see changes to membership options and class schedules as the sites are integrated into Everyone Active’s existing services and wellness offering. There has been no public confirmation that opening hours will change.

The outgoing operator, Trilogy Active (formerly Northampton Leisure Trust), confirmed it chose not to bid for the new contract. Trilogy’s managing director, John Fletcher, told the Northampton Chronicle the council’s financial expectations were not sustainable for the charity. Trilogy has managed a number of Northampton facilities for many years (the trust launched in 2011).

The council says the agreement will support a comprehensive programme of modernisation and social‑value measures, including discounted access for care‑experienced young people, carers, armed forces personnel, veterans, emergency‑services workers, students and people over state pension age. Customers should check official West Northamptonshire Council and Everyone Active communications for notices about bookings, lessons and membership changes.
