Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation after a person was found dead in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, on 9 February 2026. The incident was reported to police at approximately 11:45 AM, and the death is being treated as “unexplained” while officers work to establish the circumstances.

Residents will notice an increased police presence and cordons as forensic teams examine the scene. Officers are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and are asking anyone with doorbell camera or car dashcam footage from late Sunday night or Monday morning to check their recordings and contact police if they see anything relevant.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said the force believes this is an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public. The identity of the deceased has not been released while officers work to notify next of kin.

A post-mortem medical examination is expected within the next 24 hours to help determine the cause of death; its findings will inform whether any further criminal investigation is required.
