On February 9, 2026, the Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust began asking families in Carlton, Nottinghamshire, to share their thoughts on early designs for a new children and young people’s website. The project aims to give local parents and carers a say in how health advice and contact information are shown online.

The feedback will help the trust make it easier for residents to find mental health support and crisis contacts. By involving the community now, officials hope to ensure that the final website is simple to use and provides the specific information that families in the Carlton area need.

This work is part of a wider effort by Digital Notts to improve healthcare technology across the county. The initiative follows previous reports from the Care Quality Commission which highlighted a need for services to be more focused on the experiences of patients and their families.

Young people from a group called the Youth Impact Board are also working on the project to ensure the site is welcoming and not too formal. Residents can provide their views through an online portal or by speaking with local health visitors and school nurses from the Healthy Family Teams at clinics in Carlton.

The feedback period is currently open and will continue through the spring of 2026. The trust plans to have the finished website ready for the public to use by late 2026.
