Families in Washington, Tyne and Wear, have new options for the upcoming half-term as Brocksbushes Farm Shop publishes its February 2026 programme. Brocksbushes, based in Corbridge (around a 30-minute drive from Washington via the A69), has updated its events listings to include indoor activities and seasonal food offers timed to coincide with the February half-term recommended by Sunderland City Council (Monday, 23 February–Friday, 27 February 2026); parents should check individual schools for any variations.

The farm’s official website and events pages describe a four-level Play Barn and the expanded Courtyard Kitchen dining area. Harry Dickinson, director of Brocksbushes, has previously said the 2024 redevelopment gives the business “much more flexibility for an all-year-round events programme” as it shifts away from a purely seasonal pick-your-own model (Chronicle Live, March 26, 2024).

Alongside children’s entertainment, Brocksbushes now operates an on-site butchery, deli and the Courtyard Kitchen restaurant, offering seasonal food and takeaway options intended to help busy parents during school breaks while showcasing local suppliers.

The timing of the farm’s half-term programme aligns with the recommended Sunderland City Council dates for the February half-term. The change follows Brocksbushes’ major expansion in 2024 — which trebled the site’s footprint and added indoor facilities — repositioning the farm shop as a year-round destination for shopping, dining and play.
