Police Ask For Witnesses After Serious Crash In Warrington

Cheshire Constabulary are searching for witnesses and video footage following a serious road collision between a car and a motorcycle in Warrington, Cheshire, on Monday 9 February 2026.

The incident happened at approximately 4:30pm on Grappenhall Lane, near the junction with New Lane in Appleton Thorn. Emergency services attended and found a collision between a white Ford Ka+ Zetec and a black Honda motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken to Aintree University Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car was uninjured.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the scene and reopened at around 6:00pm. Cheshire Constabulary are appealing for anyone who was driving in the area at the time to come forward.

Local residents with doorbell cameras and drivers with in-vehicle recording systems are asked to check their footage from Monday afternoon. Anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, should contact Cheshire Constabulary to assist with the ongoing investigation.
