Devon & Cornwall Police have issued a public appeal asking for the public’s help to locate 34-year-old Leigh Yeo, a Torquay resident wanted in connection with reports of assault and theft. Officers said the appeal was issued on 11 February 2026 and that Yeo is also wanted in relation to allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour and for breaching court bail conditions.

Police describe Yeo as about 5ft 10in tall with a slim build; he is often seen wearing a beanie and is known to frequent Torquay and the wider South Devon/Torbay area. (Note: media reports have published alternative physical descriptions; the details above follow the police description.)

Devon & Cornwall Police have asked members of the public not to approach Yeo if they see him. Anyone who believes they have sighted him should call 999 immediately; anyone with information that could assist enquiries should contact the force via the non-emergency number 101. Where available, callers should quote any police reference number given in the official appeal.

The appeal forms part of local hotspot policing activity and sits alongside the force’s stated priorities to reduce serious violence and domestic abuse, as set out in the Police and Crime Plan 2025–29.
