The Bridges Shopping Centre in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, will host a week of free children’s activities called the Mischief Makers Club from Monday 23 to Friday 27 February 2026. The initiative aims to provide local families with organised, no-cost entertainment during the February half-term.
Families can visit the centre for a variety of workshops, crafts and interactive sessions designed to keep children occupied during the school break. Activities will be staged in central areas of the mall (typically Central Square or near the Primark anchor) and are set up as drop-in sessions, so parents do not need to book in advance; parents must remain with their children at all times.
The dates align with the official spring half-term in Sunderland published by Sunderland City Council. Organisers say the free club is intended to offer a high-quality entertainment option for parents managing holiday costs after the post-Christmas period.
Karen Eve, Centre Director at The Bridges, said the programme forms part of the centre’s year-round community-focused initiatives. The Bridges was acquired by Evolve Estates (part of M Core) in 2024 and welcomed approximately 11 million visitors in 2025; Sunderland City Council retains the freehold of the site.
Sunderland BID is also promoting the club as part of a wider effort to encourage residents to visit local businesses during the half-term. Parents are reminded they must stay with their children at all times while participating in the workshops and activities.
