Gedling Borough Council has organised a budget-friendly film programme at the Bonington Theatre for families in Carlton, Nottinghamshire, during the upcoming school break. Running from February 14, 2026, to February 22, 2026, the lineup aims to provide local entertainment while household costs remain a priority for residents.

The schedule includes several popular family movies such as Zootropolis 2, The Spongebob Movie: Search for Squarepants, and The Scarecrow’s Wedding. On February 20, 2026, a screening of Big Hero 6 will also include a special interactive event called Meet the Robots! as part of a local science festival.

Ticket prices for the cinema screenings start at £5. For those aged between 16 and 25, a Young Person’s Membership is available which allows them to purchase tickets for a reduced price of £4.

There is a £1 transaction charge for all online bookings made through the Bonington Theatre, but this fee does not apply to in-person purchases. These affordable outings are being offered just before the Greater Carlton Regeneration Plan begins its work to improve the local area in April 2026.
