Two brothers have been sentenced to eight years each in prison after being caught running a major illegal drug network in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, following a long investigation into the supply of crack cocaine and heroin. Akeam Khan, 27, and Mohammed Shay Khan, 26, received their sentences at Wolverhampton Crown Court on February 10, 2026, after admitting to their roles in the operation.
The pair ran what was known as the ‘Kash Line’ between June 2024 and September 2025 to distribute drugs across the city. According to West Midlands Police, officers used phone records to link the brothers to the business. One mobile phone used by the pair had sent nearly 20,000 text messages and received more than 21,000 calls during the investigation period.
The investigation was part of a wider police crackdown on organised crime known as Operation Target. Specialists from the County Lines Taskforce arrested the men in September 2025 during coordinated searches at properties on Bramdean Walk and Warstones Gardens.
Both men pleaded guilty to charges of possessing drugs with the intent to supply them and holding money gained through criminal activity. Police say the prison sentences help protect the community by removing active dealers and disrupting the local supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
