A total of 26 students from Greenhead College in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, have been offered places at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge for the 2026 school year. This group of high-achievers includes 14 students with offers from Oxford and 12 from Cambridge. The offers cover a wide range of subjects including maths, computer science, and music.
This latest success follows a strong track record for the college, which saw 27 students receive similar offers in 2025 and 24 in 2024. Principal Mo Bunter, who became the first female leader of the college in September 2024, credited the results to the hard work of staff and students.
The college helps students prepare for the application process through a dedicated support programme. This service provides practice interviews, masterclasses, and help from specialist tutors to guide students through the entrance tests for top universities.
These results come after the college finished building a new library and a central garden area called ‘The Quad’ in August 2025. The school was also named the best college in the north in 2025 for its high standards and level of support for local students.
