The New Theatre in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, will host two performances of the family science show Rude Science! on February 20, 2026. This touring event brings educational entertainment to the city centre, providing a new option for a night out for parents and children.

The show is performed by BBC Gastronaut Stefan Gates and is based on his book about the science behind bodily functions. The 90-minute performance uses gross-out humour such as fart machines, snot cocktails, and pee-powered fireworks to teach biology and physics to children aged six and up.

According to Landmark Theatres, which began operating the venue in 2023, tickets for the show start at £21. Families can also take advantage of discounts for students, seniors, and children under 16 years old.

The event also features a 40-minute post-show photo opportunity with Stefan Gates. This addition to the theatre lineup is intended to provide more high-energy, educational activities for the local community.
