Gloucestershire College is hosting an Apprenticeship Open Evening at its Gloucester campus in Gloucestershire on Wednesday February 25, 2026, to help people find paid training and local jobs. The event will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the campus on Llanthony Road, located at Gloucester Quays beside the city docks.

Visitors can meet employers face-to-face and speak with current students to learn about different career paths. Attendees will also have the chance to submit applications for apprenticeship vacancies directly during the event to speed up the hiring process.

The college works with more than 1,000 local and national employers to offer these positions across various industries. Training opportunities are available in several areas, including construction, hairdressing, dental nursing, engineering, business and professional services, and IT.

Staff will be on-site to explain how the programmes work and what is needed to get started. According to Matthew Burgess, the Principal and CEO, the evening is designed to help local residents get into practical careers while they earn a wage.
