Local businesses in Watford, Hertfordshire, are invited to take part in a new digital treasure hunt on March 12, 2026, to raise money for charity. The event, organised by One YMCA, aims to bring staff together while supporting services for homelessness and young people.

The challenge begins at 1:00 PM and uses a smartphone app to guide teams through the town centre to solve puzzles and complete community-facing tasks. Groups of four to six people can sign up for the activity for a registration fee of £299 per team.

The Watford BID announced the initiative on February 13, 2026, to help increase the profile of high street businesses. The activity is designed for employees at local pubs and restaurants to build team skills while interacting with the community.

Participants will finish the hunt at the Mad Squirrel taproom on King Street. The sponsor is providing pizza and prosecco for every team to celebrate at the end of the route.

All funds from the entries go directly to helping local people through youth services and housing support. This event is a new addition to the community calendar for 2026.
