Police Seek Witnesses After BB Gun Incident in Bournemouth

Dorset Police are looking for witnesses and three potential victims after a disturbance involving a BB gun took place outside a takeaway in Bournemouth, Dorset. The incident happened shortly before 9:00 pm on February 10, 2026, outside the BBQ Express on Wimborne Road.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old local man in nearby Elmes Road on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. The man was also arrested on suspicion of taking part in a public fight and possession of cannabis.

A BB gun was found by officers near the location where the man was arrested. The suspect has been released while the investigation continues, but police are specifically trying to identify three men who were at the scene and may have been threatened.

PC Tara Pressey is leading the investigation and has asked residents and business owners in the Winton area to check their security cameras or doorbell footage. Drivers who were in the area at the time are also asked to review their dashcam recordings for any evidence.
