Beeston Travel Delayed Following Tram and Bus Crash

A collision between a tram and a bus on Inham Road in Chilwell, Beeston, Nottinghamshire, has caused significant travel disruption following the incident on February 19, 2026. Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 09:04 AM to deal with the aftermath of the crash.

Nottinghamshire Police reported that the incident involved a Nottingham Express Transit tram and a Nottingham City Transport double-decker bus. The impact was strong enough to derail the tram and push it onto a nearby green space, while the front of the bus was heavily damaged.

The East Midlands Ambulance Service treated a small number of passengers for minor injuries at the scene, and no serious or life-altering injuries were reported. Firefighters from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue also attended to ensure the area was safe and to assist those involved in the collision.

As of today, February 20, 2026, tram services remain suspended between Toton Lane and Bramcote Lane while recovery teams work to clear the wreckage and inspect the tracks.
