The Oxford University Museum of Natural History in Oxford, Oxfordshire, will host a free science fair for families on March 7, 2026. The event, called Super Science Saturday, aims to give parents a low-cost and educational way to entertain children before the spring school term ends.

Visitors can take part in hands-on activities and meet up to 100 researchers from the University of Oxford. There is no need to book a ticket in advance, and families can simply turn up during the day to join in with the different experiments.

The fair happens while the museum completes the final stage of a major project to update its displays called Life, as we know it. People visiting the building in March will be able to see the progress of these changes to how the institution presents its collection of millions of specimens.

This event is held three weeks before local schools, such as The Oxford Academy, break up for the Easter holidays on March 27, 2026. It offers a chance for children aged seven and up to learn about subjects like fossils and animals through direct activities with experts.
