A 29-year-old man from Macclesfield, Cheshire, has been charged with several crimes, including assaulting a police officer, following a disturbance on Pembroke Road on February 20, 2026. This legal action is part of ongoing work by local officers to address town centre safety and violence against emergency workers.

Jordan Wisedale, of Pembroke Road, was arrested by Cheshire Constabulary at approximately 8:30 PM on Friday night. He faces charges of criminal damage and using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear, in addition to the charge of assaulting an officer.

The suspect remained in police custody until his scheduled appearance at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The court case follows a busy month for local policing which has seen several arrests and sentencing hearings in the area.

Officers officially shared the news of the charges on Monday afternoon. Local residents who have CCTV footage or other information about the Friday night incident are being asked to contact the police to help with their investigation.
