The Met Office has announced that a period of high pressure will bring drier and sunnier weather to Norwich, Norfolk, starting on 2 March 2026. This shift follows a difficult February where the county faced significant disruption, including snow, ice, and multiple flood alerts.
The change is expected to begin on Monday, 2 March 2026, which is forecast to be a sunny day with temperatures reaching up to 14°C. Forecasters expect these calmer conditions to stay in place until at least 11 March 2026, providing a much-needed break from the recent wet and windy weather.
This drier spell arrives during the first week of Norwich Food Week, which runs from 27 February to 8 March 2026. Organisers at Norwich BID expect that the improved conditions will help more people visit the various outdoor food stalls and events taking place across the city.
While the days will be brighter, the national forecaster warns that clear skies will likely lead to patchy frost overnight during the first ten days of the month. Residents may also see some morning fog, though the daytime sunshine will make it easier to travel and carry out any necessary outdoor repairs following recent storms.
