North Yorkshire Police are asking for help from the public after reports of offensive and obscene language during a York City football match in York, North Yorkshire. The incident happened on 7 February 2026 during a home game against Forest Green Rovers at the LNER Community Stadium.

According to North Yorkshire Police, the chanting allegedly took place within the section of the ground used by home supporters. A total of 6,866 fans were at the match to watch the home team win 2-1.
