Residents in Bolton, Greater Manchester, can look forward to a break from the rain as the Met Office predicts a period of drier and more settled weather starting from 5 March 2026. This change is caused by a large area of high pressure moving over the country, which is expected to last until at least 14 March 2026.

The forecast suggests that many people will see more sunshine and daytime temperatures reaching highs of 14°C by 5 March 2026. This drier spell follows a particularly damp winter where rainfall levels were recorded at 9% higher than the usual average for the season.

The improved conditions are likely to benefit local markets and outdoor activities, as well as events like the Bolton Open Art exhibition and live music at Level Nightclub on 14 March 2026. This shift marks a significant change after a long period of wet weather that has left much of the ground saturated across the region.

While the overall outlook is much drier, experts warn that some rain and strong winds could still reach the North West as weather systems occasionally brush past the region. People are encouraged to keep an eye on local updates to stay informed about any short-lived changes to the conditions over the coming weeks.
