Dorset Police reported a total of 420 criminal offences in the Poole South area of Dorset during January 2026. The figures, which were published on 1 March 2026, provide a detailed look at local crime to help residents and safety groups understand what is happening in their streets. Out of all the reports, 10 incidents could not be pinpointed to a specific location and were left off the official visual map.

The most common issues recorded during the month were violence and sexual offences, which made up 155 of the total reports. Officers also dealt with 79 cases of anti-social behaviour and 33 reports of other types of theft. These statistics are often used by the Poole Neighbourhood Watch to help people improve their home security and to ask for more patrols in specific parts of the town.

Residents who want to discuss these figures or share their concerns can visit several community contact points throughout March and April 2026. The next session is set for 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday 4 March 2026 at the Dolphin Centre. Other meetings will also be held at Broadstone Library to give locals a chance to speak directly with the neighbourhood policing team.

The police work alongside the BCP Council to manage safety across the town centre and surrounding neighbourhoods. These regular data updates and public meetings are part of an effort to make policing more transparent and to encourage residents to report any suspicious activity they see in their community.
