On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Banbury & District Chamber of Commerce will visit Dogs for Good’s national training centre at the Frances Hay Centre in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The meeting will show local business owners how the charity trains dogs to help people with physical disabilities, dementia and autism.
The event will take place at the Frances Hay Centre between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Business owners will watch live demonstrations of assistance dogs performing helpful tasks, such as opening doors and retrieving dropped items for the people they support.
The visit is designed to help local companies find ways to support the charity through options such as Puppy Partner sponsorship and staff volunteering programmes. Dogs for Good has been based at its Banbury training centre since 2000 and provides support for families and individuals across the UK.
Organisers say the morning will focus on how these trained animals improve independence and wellbeing in the community. This follows a long history of local support for the organisation, including the Banbury Autumn Craft Fair in late 2024 that raised over £1,500 for the charity’s work. Attendees should expect that standard biosecurity and dog welfare protocols will be in place during the visit.
