The Banbury & District Chamber of Commerce has moved its upcoming question and answer session with local Member of Parliament Sean Woodcock to Friday 10 April 2026. The event, which aims to connect business leaders with their representative, will take place from 8am to 10am at Bloxham Mill.

Organisers have limited the roundtable discussion to 16 attendees to allow for a more detailed conversation between the local MP and members of the business community. This meeting serves as a follow-up to a similar engagement held in September 2025, continuing the ongoing dialogue between the office of the MP and local enterprises.

Sean Woodcock, who was elected as the Labour Member of Parliament for Banbury in July 2024, has highlighted several priorities for his term, including housing, the cost of living, environmental issues, and the NHS. He has also expressed a focus on improving trade relationships with European partners, noting that local businesses should not face unnecessary costs or regulations when trading with neighbouring countries.

The event comes at a significant time for the local economy, as the community prepares for the closure of the JDE coffee factory in December 2026. The planned wind-down of the site is expected to affect 167 staff members. Derek Hettenbach, chair of the Chamber, has emphasised the importance of such events in helping the local business community navigate future challenges and identify opportunities for growth.

Bloxham Mill is located on Barford Road in Bloxham and offers parking facilities for those attending the morning session. Further details regarding the Chamber’s events and advocacy work can be found on the Banbury & District Chamber of Commerce website.
