Residents in Basildon can expect a noticeable shift to cooler weather this week as temperatures drop following the Bank Holiday. According to the Met Office, there are currently no weather warnings in place for the local area despite the changing conditions.

The week begins with temperatures of 18°C on Monday 4 May under overcast skies, with a 40 per cent chance of rain at 1pm. By Tuesday 5 May, conditions will become cloudier with temperatures reaching 17°C and wind gusts increasing to 24mph.

The most significant change occurs on Wednesday 6 May, when temperatures are expected to drop to 13°C. Due to northerly winds reaching 26mph, it will feel much colder, with temperatures closer to 9°C.
