New Bouncing Babies sessions are starting at Basildon Library from 10 July, giving parents of infants under 12 months a free weekly stay-and-play group. The Friday morning gatherings, running from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Martin’s Square venue, require no advance booking and aim to strengthen early communication through rhymes and songs.
The programme begins on 10 July and will continue every Friday through at least October 2026, with sessions on 17th, 24th, and 31st July already confirmed. Entry remains free for all families with babies in the target age group.
Basildon Library already runs several weekly activities for families, including SEND Sensory Stay and Play on Wednesdays and a Craft Table on Saturdays. The site, open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm, also has baby changing facilities on the premises. Essex Libraries organises similar Bouncing Babies sessions at other local branches in Vange, Fryerns, and South Benfleet as part of a wider county programme.
