The Festival Leisure Park in Basildon, Essex, will host its annual Superheroes and Villains Day on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. This free community event offers families the chance to meet famous characters and see well-known cars from the cinema between 11 am and 4 pm.
Visitors can take photos with favourite TV and movie characters and participate in an Easter Trail around the park. The event will also include a special appearance from the Easter Bunny for younger children to enjoy during the bank holiday.
In previous years, the day has featured famous faces like Spiderman, Iron Man, and Chewbacca. According to the park owners, Aviva Investors, the celebration is designed to bring more people to local businesses during the busy holiday period.
Local venues such as Cineworld and Hollywood Bowl expect a high number of visitors as families come for the entertainment. Popular restaurants like Nando’s and Wagamama are also likely to see more customers throughout the afternoon.
The day has become a regular tradition for the park, which many local residents know as Bas Vegas. It aims to provide a free day out for the community while supporting the variety of leisure and dining spots across the site.
