The Basingstoke Foodbank has issued an updated list of priority items required for its emergency food parcels as of 18 May 2026. The charity, which serves residents in Basingstoke and across Hampshire, is requesting that donors focus on providing long-life juice, long-life milk, tinned fruit, tinned pasta, tinned rice pudding, tinned tomatoes, and tinned vegetables.

As a registered charity and part of the Trussell Trust network, the food bank relies on these donations to support local people experiencing hardship. National data from the Trussell Trust indicates that their network distributed more than 2.6 million emergency food parcels over the past 12 months, which equates to one parcel every 12 seconds across the UK.

Donations can be dropped off at the food bank warehouse located at Unit 63-64, Tempus Business Centre, Kingsclere Road, Basingstoke, RG21 6XG. The facility is open for deliveries Monday to Friday, from 9am to 3pm. Supporters may also choose to arrange for an online supermarket delivery to this address or use the Give Today online portal.

The organisation currently operates seven distribution centres to ensure support reaches residents throughout the town and surrounding communities, including sites in Tadley, Winklebury, Brighton Hill, Sarum Hill, Buckskin, and Popley. The operation is supported by 130 volunteers and 7 trustees, with Philip John Thomas currently serving as Chair. During the financial year ending 30 September 2024, the charity recorded a total income of £189,777 against an expenditure of £201,839.
