Basingstoke Town secured their place in the league for another season after a 3-1 victory against Tiverton Town on Saturday 18 April 2026. The win at the Winklebury Football Complex provided the team with the necessary points to guarantee their position at Step 3 of the non-league pyramid.

The match, which drew 704 spectators, saw Ore Bello open the scoring with a penalty in the 13th minute. Although Tiverton Town’s George Collins levelled the score in the 32nd minute, Basingstoke responded in the second half. Joe O’Loughlin restored the lead with a header in the 52nd minute, followed by a goal from substitute Ben Cook seven minutes later.

This result marks the third consecutive season that the club, managed by Dan Brownlie, has successfully secured their status in the final stages of the campaign. Under the oversight of chairman Jack Miller, the team has now extended their winning run to three matches, having lost only once in their previous eight fixtures.

Basingstoke Town finished their home league campaign with this result, maintaining their standing in the Southern League Premier Division South. Basingstoke will now turn their attention to their final league fixture away at Hanwell Town, followed by a Hampshire Senior Cup final against Sholing on Tuesday 21 April 2026.
