A free light trail is returning to Basingstoke, Hampshire, for three nights starting February 19, 2026, to provide family entertainment during the half-term holiday. The award-winning event, known as Let’s Glow, will run until February 21, 2026, between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM in the town centre and War Memorial Park.
Organised by Love Basingstoke and funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the trail is free and does not require a ticket. This year’s event features new light displays, including a 30-metre canopy of glowing star balls called Pixel Sky on Cross Street.
Visitors can also see a display on Wote Street called RUBIX, which uses 144 light pipes inspired by the Rubik’s cube. At the War Memorial Park bandstand, there are interactive bubble tubes standing over two metres tall that change colour when people touch them.
The event follows recent success at the Beautiful South Tourism Awards, where it won a Bronze award in December 2025. Local leaders hope the trail will encourage more people to visit shops and restaurants in the Top of Town area while they are out in the evening.
