Lancashire Constabulary has issued a series of warnings to residents in Blackpool, Lancashire, following a string of vehicle break-ins and property damage on 25 February and 26 February 2026. Police received multiple reports of a suspect targeting cars on residential streets, including Antigua Drive and St Bees Close, over a 24-hour period.

Officers are searching for a male suspect who was seen trying car door handles on Antigua Drive between 03:45 and 04:00 on Wednesday morning. It was reported that the man successfully entered several vehicles in the area during that time.

Later that same day, around 13:30, several more vehicles were broken into on St Bees Close. During these incidents, a window of a residential property was also smashed.

According to a district profile from Lancashire County Council, Blackpool recorded the highest rates of vehicle crime in the county as of 2025. Police have issued three separate log numbers for the latest reports as they investigate whether the crimes are linked to a single offender.

PCSO Cindy Harvey shared the alerts through the Stay In The Know community system. Residents are encouraged to work with the Blackpool Neighbourhood Watch, double-check that their cars are locked, and report any suspicious activity to 101.
