Residents and visitors in Blackpool should prepare for changes to public transport services on the upcoming Bank Holiday. On Monday, 4 May 2026, Blackpool Transport will operate a Sunday timetable across its entire network of bus and tram services.

While the tramway will continue to run at its standard 15-minute frequency, the start of service will be different from a standard weekday. Trams will begin running at 6.30am on the holiday, rather than the typical 5.00am start time.

Operating a reduced timetable on Bank Holidays is a long-standing practice for the local operator to match service levels with lower passenger demand. The company advises anyone planning to travel on 4 May to check their route details in advance to avoid any disruption to their journeys.
