Residents of Blackpool can expect a week of mixed weather conditions, with cool mornings and temperatures reaching a peak of 17°C by Saturday 9 May 2026. According to the Met Office, the week will bring a combination of cloud and rain before conditions warm slightly toward the weekend.

While Wednesday is expected to remain mostly dry, the weather will turn unsettled on Thursday, with a 50 to 60 percent chance of light showers in the afternoon. Friday and Saturday mornings also carry a risk of rain, and wind gusts are set to strengthen as the week progresses, reaching 24mph on Monday and 26mph by Tuesday 12 May.

Those heading to the coast should be aware of changing sea conditions. Wave heights are expected to reach up to 0.7m on Saturday evening. With sea temperatures remaining between 12°C and 13°C, the national weather service advises that the water remains cold for swimming.

The Environment Agency has confirmed there are currently no flood warnings for the area, with the overall flood risk expected to remain very low throughout the next five days.
