A 32-year-old man from Bloxwich, West Midlands, has been charged with several robberies and violent assaults after a string of incidents in the local area.
According to West Midlands Police, Gurkirat Singh faces three counts of robbery and two counts of wounding with intent. He has also been charged with the possession of a bladed weapon in a public place.
The charges follow three separate incidents involving elderly victims that occurred between 11 March and 15 March 2026. The offences took place across Walsall and Wolverhampton, leaving the victims with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Singh appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on 17 March 2026 for an initial hearing. He was kept in police custody until his appearance in court.
Police officers have increased their patrols in the affected neighbourhoods to provide reassurance to residents following the attacks. This investigation is part of wider efforts to reduce violent crime and street robberies across the region.
