Residents in Bloxwich, West Midlands, will vote for every seat on the local council on 7 May 2026. This rare “all‑out” election follows a major update to the area’s electoral map — the first major redrawing since 2004 (over 20 years) — and will see all 60 council seats contested at once rather than the usual cycle in which only a third of councillors are elected each year.

The new boundaries were drawn by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) to improve “electoral equality” so that each councillor represents a similar number of electors. Walsall Council says this will be the first all‑out election in 15 years.

In Bloxwich, the new map changes where some residents will cast their ballots. Roads west of Stafford Road — from the Bell public house to the Turnberry estate junction — are being transferred from Bloxwich West into the newly named Bloxwich East and Blakenall Heath ward. Specific street‑level changes and ward maps are published by the council in its Polling District and Polling Places Review.

A revised Electoral Register was published on 1 February 2026 to reflect the new ward boundaries ahead of the spring vote. Emma Bennett, Acting Returning Officer and Chief Executive of Walsall Council, said the review was carried out to help make voting easy and accessible for everyone. On polling day, stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
