Reported crimes in Bloxwich, West Midlands, rose to 236 incidents in January 2026, which is an increase from the 198 crimes recorded the previous month. These official figures, released on 28 February 2026, show that local crime levels grew by nearly 20 per cent at the start of the year.

According to police.uk, the most common reports were for violence and sexual offences, with 88 cases recorded during the month. Other frequent issues for the neighbourhood included 35 reports of shoplifting, 29 vehicle crimes, and 22 cases of criminal damage and arson.

The local policing team is led by Inspector Jon Butler and Sergeant Adam Greenaway, who oversee officers working across the east and west areas of the town. To help tackle crime in the area, the West Midlands Police station in Bloxwich was recently updated to provide enough space for 400 extra staff members.

This rise in reported incidents follows a period where officers used special powers to move on people causing a nuisance in December 2025. The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner has also provided funding for more officers to increase the number of patrols visible to the public.
