Residents in Bloxwich will have access to a series of free mental health support services and community activities at Bloxwich Launchpad from 11 May to 15 May 2026. Held in support of the annual Mental Health Awareness Week, the programme offers practical sessions designed to help people prioritise their wellbeing.
The week features a diverse range of workshops and health services hosted at the centre on Market Place. The schedule includes a discussion on sickle cell awareness and men’s wellbeing on Monday, mindfulness and breathwork sessions on Tuesday, and hypnotherapy on Wednesday. Later in the week, residents can attend sound healing sessions, mental health first aid training, and suicide prevention courses. Free NHS health checks are available on Thursday and Friday, while the week concludes with guided walking sessions on Friday.
According to the Mental Health Foundation, which organises the awareness week, this year’s theme of Action focuses on taking concrete steps to improve mental health and reduce stigma. Walsall Council, which operates the facility, is encouraging everyone in the community to participate in these inclusive events.
Jason Fisher, the Centre Manager of Bloxwich Launchpad, invites residents to engage with the support on offer. The hub itself was established in September 2025 as part of a £21.3 million investment through the UK Government’s Towns Fund. Since its opening, the centre has become a key community resource, supporting over 360 residents with ongoing help and assisting over 130 local entrepreneurs.
The hub works with various partners to provide these services, including the Shaw Trust, which will be providing employment support, and The Getting Fit Company, which is leading the Friday walks. The centre is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
