Walsall Council has released a new guide for community events taking place throughout March 2026 to help residents in Bloxwich, West Midlands, access local activities and fitness challenges. The guide highlights several low-cost options for families, including interactive games, cultural celebrations, and live music performances.
A central part of the spring lineup is the Beat the Street fitness challenge, which runs until 25 March 2026. This game allows people to earn points for prizes by walking or cycling between sensors on local lampposts and is supported by a grant from Sport England.
To help with travel costs, Transport for West Midlands is offering a week of free bus travel to the first 20 residents who sign up for the fitness challenge at local distribution points. Residents can also visit the Bloxwich Market, which continues to open every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Market Square.
Other community activities include a free Holi Festival celebration at The New Art Gallery Walsall on 7 March 2026, featuring painting workshops and storytelling. For music fans, the Walsall Arena and Arts Centre in nearby Leamore has scheduled tribute acts for Oasis on 6 March and Meat Loaf on 7 March 2026.
Environmental projects are also planned for the month, including a visit to the Tiny Forest at Barr Beacon on 3 March 2026. Schools across the area will also take part in the Great Big School Clean starting on 13 March 2026.
