Bolton Libraries and Bolton Start Well are hosting dummy swap events in Bolton, Greater Manchester, to help young children give up their dummies during the 2026 Easter holidays. Families can visit High Street Library on 13 April 2026 or Breightmet Library on 15 April 2026 to take part in the free sessions.

The events allow toddlers to trade their dummies for a medal and a prize in a supportive environment. The session at High Street Library will run from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm, while the event at Breightmet Library is held from 10:00 am until 11:30 am.

Organisers from Bolton Libraries planned these activities as part of a wider programme of community events during the school break. All ages are welcome to attend the sessions, which provide a fun way for parents to help their children reach a new developmental milestone.

These initiatives are often used to help improve a child’s speech development and dental health by encouraging them to move away from using pacifiers. Bolton Start Well provides this type of support to families across the borough to help with early years growth.
