Residents of Bolton can expect a change to cooler and more unsettled weather this week as the unseasonably warm conditions seen in late April come to an end. According to the Met Office, temperatures throughout the week of 4 May to 10 May 2026 will range between 12°C and 17°C, a notable shift from the recent highs of up to 26°C recorded across the UK.

The week will generally be mostly cloudy, though conditions across North West England are expected to remain largely dry. Those planning to be out on Tuesday, 5 May, should keep an umbrella handy, as there is a 40% to 50% chance of rain from 2pm onwards. Breezy conditions are also anticipated, with wind gusts expected to reach 24mph on Tuesday and peaking at 25mph on Saturday.

While the temperature will be cooler, the sun will still have an impact, and the Met Office advises that UV levels will be moderate throughout the week. Residents are encouraged to use sunscreen when outside during the middle of the day. For those who suffer from seasonal allergies, there is some relief, as pollen levels in the area are currently low.
