Residents in Horwich will have the chance to speak directly with their local police officers during a free drop-in session at Horwich Library on Tuesday 12 May 2026. Starting at 5:30pm and running until 6:30pm, the event allows community members to raise local concerns, report issues, and receive advice on how to prevent crime.

The session is being hosted by the Greater Manchester Police Safer Neighbourhood Team. The library, located at Jones Street, is a regular community hub operated by Bolton Council and remains open until 7:00pm on Tuesdays.

This event is part of a broader push to improve local engagement as the police force works with its highest number of officers since 2010. The Horwich North East Neighbourhood Policing Team has identified several local priorities, including tackling speeding, addressing drug and drink driving, and managing traffic issues that arise during matchdays at the Toughsheet Stadium.

Residents who wish to stay informed about local safety updates can sign up for Bee in the Loop, which is the official community messaging service provided by the police. For those interested in wider community safety efforts, the Bolton Neighbourhood Watch Association continues to support local schemes and promote cooperation between residents and police across the borough.
