Bootle residents can expect a brief period of stormy weather this Easter weekend before a warmer and sunnier start to next week. According to the Met Office, Storm Dave is currently moving across the region and has prompted a yellow weather warning for wind in Merseyside.

The warning for wind is in effect from 5pm on Saturday, 4 April, until 7am on Sunday, 5 April. During this time, residents should prepare for strong gusts, with speeds of 50-60mph expected across the area and up to 70mph in more exposed locations.

Following the departure of the storm, conditions in Bootle are set to improve significantly. Monday, 6 April, will mark the beginning of a brief warm spell, with temperatures expected to climb. Tuesday, 7 April, is predicted to be the warmest day of the week, reaching 19°C under clear, sunny skies.

Those planning to spend time outdoors on Tuesday and Wednesday should be aware that pollen levels are forecast to be very high, which may affect allergy sufferers. The warmer weather will be short-lived, however, as temperatures are expected to cool back to between 11°C and 14°C by Thursday and Friday, accompanied by the return of scattered showers.
